Projects
Located along the Cape Fear River, the Pier 33 project consists of approximately 4.8 acres of the Almont Shipping Brownfield site. The Almont Shipping Terminal formerly stored a number of chemicals including potash, calcium nitrate, sodium nitrate, ammonium nitrate, iron ore pellets, pelletized urea, chromium ore, salt and salt cake. The property was listed as a State Brownfield site in 2008.
The site is being redeveloped with a mixed-use six-story residential and commercial structure, a 527-space parking deck, and a swimming pool. The new apartment complex will overlook the Cape Fear River and Port City Marina. The apartment building will consist of 286 units plus retail on the ground floor. ASE is currently providing Brownfield consulting services for this project.
